Why U? – Jos Maassen

Who are U?

Jos Maassen, owner of Next Learning Valley. We support companies and educational institutions in innovating learning with innovative learning technologies. Three learning domains: social learning, personalized learning and learning analytics.

What do U live for?

Learning can and should be done so much better and more personal, so more customized!

Why did U choose U.NXT?

It gives me energy to build the education of the future with this group of people, which is a very heterogeneous group!

What do U do for U.NXT?

Didactic and creative thinking about the most cool future proof learning environment for students. Being in contact with MOOC providers and delivering a learning experience platform (LXP). In addition, collecting learning data, creating dashboards for instructors, analyzing the learning data and thus improving and personalizing the learning offerings.

What does creativity mean to U?

Thinking outside of the box, looking around you to see what’s happening.

What does business mean for U?

What opportunities and needs do you see in the world, to make that world a little nicer and better and how do you think up solutions for that. Starting a business is step 2.

What does education mean to U?

Crucial for your development, but unfortunately too much done in the old way. That’s why we now have the opportunity to do this better and that’s what we do at U.NXT. By the way, education is not only at school, but learning in the broadest sense of the word. Every day we experience things and experience something. Think of it as a journey of trial and error.

How do U see the future?

We have to be ready to react to the enormously changing world and we have to make a big effort to make this world more beautiful!

Why should U join U.NXT?

Study in a contemporary way, get work experience and self-reflection in a way that suits you. Getting started with the coolest challenges. Then the world is open to you.

What motto do U have for me?

“If you do what you always did, you will always get what you always got!”
